Wedding Services and Receptions

Getting married soon? Becky has played organ, piano, even guitar and has sung for wedding services since 1995 in traditional church settings and outdoor venues in the garden, at the winery, and under the tent!
For the reception, Slam and Becky provide one of three genres of music: a smaller combo of layed-back jazzy or classical (vibes, flute and vocals), a medium-sized jazzy, funky dance mix with Perpetual Motion, or all-out salsa dancing with big band UnMundo for a real blow-out!.
WEDDING PRICES: Wedding Service: $250 for Becky (or $100 / player for a jazz or chamber orchestra combo); Wedding Reception is $600 to $2000 depending on number of musicians (at the rate of $200 each)

Corporate and Community Events

For over 15 years, Slam Inc. has made lots of musical and professional connections with the Fredericksburg-area and D.C.-area musicians and various community groups (non-profits, churches, and corporate). So Becky and Slam have the ability to pull together musical groups of any size to meet any need.
CORPORATE EVENT PRICES: $300 per player for 3 - 10 players plus travel expenses

Sacred, Jazz, Funk, Dance Style

"If you can't get with it, put a neckbone in it!" is Slam's motto. In other words, Slam and Becky work to promote healing and joy through their music in a multitude of styles that will move your body (including the neckbone)

Private Music Instruction in Piano, Voice and Drums

Slam (drums) and Becky (piano, flute, and voice) are available to teach in their in-house studio in King George. They also have teachers on duty to provide lessons in clarinet, sax and bass.
If you can't make it to the King George studio, Slam and Becky have a few time slots available to teach in a downtown studio in Fredericksburg.
PRIVATE LESSON PRICES: Best Deal: $300 for 30 minutes weekly over 12 weeks); $30 / half hour lesson; $50 one hour lesson.

Slam Jam! Music and CD's

Work is underway to compose and arrange new music for the upcoming production of a Slam and Becky originals CD ("If You Only Knew My Baby"). The music to include piano, sax, bass, drums, and conga is a fusion of of funk, jazz, rhythm and harmony created for maximum dance appeal.

Studio Recording and Sound Engineering

Slam and Becky provide digital recording services at their in-house studio located in King George, Virginia, just east of Fredericksburg. The 900 square foot studio provides new and comfortable classroom and music rehearsal space, a vocal isolation booth, 48-track digital recording capability, and music transcription and songwriting services.
RECORDING AND ENGINEERING PRICES: Best Deal: One song CD master is $100 and includes creative consultation and up to 3 hours studio time; General charge: $30/hour studio recording time.

Session Recording

Slam bears many years of professional studio experience having worked for recording artists locally and abroad in London, England throughout the 90's. He and Becky recently recorded drum and piano tracks for "Katrina", a song written about the Louisiana hurricane disaster by local singer/songwriter Michael Kovack. They are both available to record tracks for your music project at any outside studio that you designate or they may digitally record live tracks in-house to burn onto a CD for your use (i.e., to sing along with recorded piano).
SESSION RECORDING PRICES: $100/2 hour session/player

Music Arranging and Composing

Sing a song and Becky will record it onto paper for you! Becky arranges and composes music on a daily basis to use as a teaching tool for her students and to write instrumental parts for local bands and church music groups. Using her ear and strong knowledge of harmonies, chords, and rhythms, she can write and print out your song using Sibelius or Finale computer software. She can also provide assistance in getting your songs copyrighted through the Library of Congress. Finally, if you'd like to take it a step further, Slamone LLC acts as a publishing company to register your song with ASCAP/BMI.
SONGWRITING PRICES: Best Deal: $75 for 2-page song for one instrument plus $30 each additional instrument; copyright services are $50 /copyright application plus government fees; publishing services available under contract with Slamone, LLC (inital paperwork costs $50 / application plus ASCAP/BMI fees)
